British Shorthair
The British Shorthair is a sturdy, round-faced breed with a dense, plush coat and a calm, undemanding temperament. One of the oldest English cat breeds, they are famously depicted as the Cheshire Cat in Alice in Wonderland. These independent yet loyal cats adapt well to apartment living and get along with most household members without being overly clingy.
