Basset Hound

The Basset Hound is a short-legged scent hound of French origin, bred to hunt hare on foot alongside humans. With their long ears, droopy eyes, and wrinkled skin, they have one of the most instantly recognizable silhouettes in the canine world. Despite their seemingly lazy appearance, Bassets are tenacious trackers with the second-keenest nose of any dog breed.
