Chow Chow
The Chow Chow is one of the oldest recognizable dog breeds, originating in China over 2,000 years ago where they were used for hunting, herding, and as sled dogs. Known for their lion-like mane, scowling expression, and distinctive blue-black tongue, they are dignified and aloof dogs. Chow Chows are fiercely loyal to their family but reserved toward strangers.
