The Chesapeake Bay Retriever is a powerful American gun dog bred to retrieve waterfowl in the cold, rough waters of the Chesapeake Bay. They have a distinctive wavy, oily, water-resistant coat that comes in shades of brown. Chesapeakes are bright, sensitive, and hardworking dogs that form extremely strong bonds with their owners.
